Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Favorite YA Fantasy Authors

Top Ten Favorite YA Fantasy Authors
Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. Each week they post a new Top Ten list  that bloggers are welcome to join in and answer.

Hello, fellow readers! This week's Top Ten is about your favorite authors from a specific genre. So I went for Fantasy, since that has always been the love of my life when it comes to books.

So here's my list:

1. SHANNON HALE
Shannon Hale is the author that introduced me to the YA genre. Even though she doesn’t know it, I owe her for the kind of love and passion that I have known and felt over all the books that I have read and will be reading in the future.

2. JULIE KAGAWA
Who doesn’t love her? She’s awesome! Stories about the fare folk has always been something I love to read about, and the unique way she created the Iron Fey (for the Iron Fey series) was really commendable. Plus I love Ash, just saying. LOL.

3. CYNTHIA HAND
She may be relatively new considering she has only about 2 books published (and an upcoming 3rd one), but her writing style is absolutely captivating.

4. TERA LYNN CHILDS
The world building of her Fins series was what made me adore her. And her light, cute stories were great stress relievers.

5. SUZANNE COLLINS
Hunger Games!!! Need I say more? Although she’s writing Middle Grade books lately, I’m still anxiously waiting for her to write a new YA book.

6. SARAH J. MAAS
A 2012 Debut Author that immediately caught my heart. I love the Throne of Glass short stories and when I finally got the read Throne of Glass, it was absolutely worth the wait.

7. JAY KRISTOFF
Another Debut Author this year. I may have only read one book (Stormdancer) from him but I can already tell he’s going to be doing more awesome books in the upcoming years. And he’s a total bad ass. Love his blog. Seriously this guy is hilarious.

8. JENNA BLACK
She makes incredibly witty and personified characters. And the love for coffee she her protags have – bonus points!

9. MELISSA MARR
Another awesome writer of stories of the Fae!

10. JENNIFER L. ARMENTROUT
Okay, so I have to admit this is mostly because of Daemon. Sorry, Jennifer, but he kind of overshadows everyone else, including you. Hahaha! Just kidding. But I’m serious about the Daemon part.

And that is all for me, how about you? Share me your list!
Happy reading! :)
