About

Welcome to THE BLAIR BOOK PROJECT!

ABOUT THE BLOGGER

My, my, my… where do I begin?

In case you missed my previous about page let me start off again… I'm Janus, an Information Technology graduate from the University of the East, Manila. I have a passion for books and this blog is to show how much I appreciate reading and I'd like to be able to encourage others to take reading as a hobby. I'm very much into the Young Adult and Fantasy. I love those specifically providing me with action, fighting and/or adventure scenes. I also like reading comic books and graphic novels, and some humor and inspirational ones on the side.

I am a Computer Graphics Artist by profession. I pursued this career because I've always loved 3D animated films and video games. Being a gamer is also another basis on why I love action-packed books. Although I suppose you might count me as one of those story-driven players.

I first started writing reviews on Goodreads, simply to keep track of what I read, and noted down what I thought just so I had a reference if ever I needed to trace back. When I first started this blog, I was 21, single (in civil status, although I was currently in a relationship then), and with 2 lovable fur balls, Miley and Meeco. That was roughly about 2 years ago. Now, I am happily married, have 8 shih tzu dogs, and am expecting my very own little one in five months. A lot has changed! But my love for books has not.

Aside from my blog, I can also be found on:

ABOUT THE BLOG

I obviously got the name of this blog for "The Blair Witch Project," why the name you may ask? I have no idea! LOL. I just thought it had a good ring to it.

It is rather tough to consider my reviews as well… “reviews” since what I write is solely based on my personal experience with the book. Thus, it is subjective and should not be taken as a definite basis on how the book is to be judged entirely.

The Blair Book Project Stamp
We all have different likes and dislikes so please do understand that although I'm very optimistic about the books I read, there will be negative comments towards those that I don't find suiting to my taste.

I do have my own rating for books, although they can be quite similar to other book blogs. Basically the more Blair Book Project stamps, the better.

It's amazing! I loved it and I totally recommend.

       I really liked this.

I enjoyed this but I had difficulties with it.

It wasn't so bad, but not that good either.

    This just isn't for me.

So feel free to browse through! If you go way, way, way back into the posts and find yourself cringing, I apologize. I know I wrote awfully then. I’m not saying I’m an amazing book blogger/reviewer now, but I definitely sound more sensible now than before. Ha!

If you find something you like (or not), feel free to comment, and let’s talk books! Woohoo!
