|Seriously... I'm Kidding|
by Ellen DeGeneres
Summary from Goodreads:
"Sometimes the greatest things are the most embarrassing.
Ellen Degeneres' winning, upbeat candor has made her show one of the most popular, resilient and honored daytime shows on the air. (To date, it has won no fewer than 31 Emmys.)
Seriously... I'm Kidding, Degeneres' first book in eight years, brings us up to date about the life of a kindhearted woman who bowed out of American Idol because she didn't want to be mean. Lively; hilarious; often sweetly poignant."
Seriously... I’m Kidding is a great book to read if you need a break from heavy, dark-themed books or if you want to just simply read something different for a change. Most likely, it’s a good book to read if you need some way to lighten up your mood.
I love watching Ellen’s show because it always helps me release some stress, and I’m glad that I was able to feel the same kind of tension relief from reading this book. Not only does it make readers laugh but it also helps bring out a positive energy in you, and more importantly, it helps readers learn something significant about our everyday lives.
With all the kidding aside, once you read Ellen’s advices, they really are worth remembering. You can learn a thing or two on making your life more pleasant and happy. It makes you think back on what brings you to a fit of strain and find a way around it...think positive vibes as you may call it.
I really love that Ellen makes it a point to remind people to always be kind to one another. It’s great that someone influential makes the effort of breaking people from their negativity and help them become better people even with just a few words.
