Review will contain minor spoilers, just a tad I swear, but spoilers nonetheless. So be warned.

Through the Ever Night is one my most anticipated reads for this year. So I guess it’s not much of a surprise that I started leafing through the pages the moment I paid for it at the bookstore. I finished nearly half of the book while having my nails done at the nail salon shortly after my trip to the bookstore. I was that excited!

So what has become of our heroes?

From the ending of Under the Never Sky, I knew that Perry and Aria had finally seen each other after months of being separated. It was heartbreaking for me to see them be forced to part ways just too soon so that they could get things done that’ll save countless lives.

I witnessed a whirlwind of surprises with this book.

For a moment I thought Roar was going to be a third party establishing a love triangle between him, Perry and Aria. Thank goodness that wasn’t the case!

Although someone in particular seemed to try to get involved with Perry, and at the moment, I don’t know why, but I felt betrayed. Do I love Aria that much that it really pissed me off to see some other girl trying to make a move on Perry?

Liv’s appearance came to be another shock for me, along with Kirra’s agenda. Oh bitch, you are going down! I can’t wait to see you get what’s yours!

There’s still no word over who Aria’s father is. Is that the next booming revelation in the next book?

Having gotten past the awkward stage of adapting to the world building and writing style from the first book, Under the Never Sky, I had no qualms about book 2 and reading Through the Ever Night was such an enjoyment that I practically breezed through it. Each chapter was just incredibly exciting. And the fact that this is no short on action and adventure just makes me adore this book all the more.

Truly Aria and Perry’s love is like no other. Nothing and nobody can ever come between them. I love the idea that what they thought would have been their weakness was actually their greatest strength.
