In My Mailbox [27]

Hello everyone! Excuse my absence last week, I received something but it wasn't a book so I'll just show it along with this week's haul. Also, I'm in the process of changing the designs here on my blog, hence the new IMM banner and the new photo designs below.

Alright, here's what I got:

Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers
(from NetGalley)
Now here's a book that I've been impatiently waiting to arrive from the Book Depository:

Final Fantasy XIII-2: The Official Complete Guide
(Collector's Edition) by Piggyback
Yes! I actually waited for this before I buy the game. I am such a dork! LOL.

And last but not the least, I finally got a new phone line. Which is now under my name since the one I was using before was in my dad's name. Oh! and do you see the Hunger Games ID? I'm from District 2. So cool! I couldn't help but use it as a wallpaper!

...your turn. What did you get this week?

    1. Hi Pamela, my nook was given as gift so I don't know where it was bought. This is sold at Barnes and Noble stores also at their website. If your from the Philippines, I think there's a particular store you where you can buy it, probably at SM Megamall, don't know the name of the store though.

      Hope it helps. ^_^

  11. Hiya! :) I found a nook at info.max, both in Megamall and SM Marikina although it wasn't the version I was looking for. Give us a review of your nook once you've used it for a while. :)

Btw, that girl at info.max kept on telling me to buy the kindle, so much that I wanted to put duct tape on her mouth. HAHA just kidding but it was annoying =))

    1. Hey Pamela! Good to know you found the store. I've been using my nook for almost 3 months now and I'm liking it so far, considering it's an older version. I like that it works on electronic ink 'coz my eyes tend to hurt with the light of the screens (even though I really dimmed it) that the latest tablets and ebook readers have now. It's a little slow sometimes though but nothing I can't bear.

LOL! Maybe she thought you'd go for that since the Nook you were looking for wasn't available. But I guess she got a little too persistent on suggesting. haha! :)

    2. haha maybe i would now. XD I found out that B&N doesn't accept credit cards that aren't from the US so how do you buy your nook books?

    3. Oh! Yup, sorry forgot to mention that. I'm kind of pissed when I found out about it. I get my ebooks at the Book Depository, also on NetGalley, mostly I just search over the net for sites selling ebooks that accept credit cards internationally.

I don't really get why B&N restricts ebook purchase within the US but ship Nook products internationally. Bummer!

    4. I don't get it either! :( This is the reason why I'm getting a Kindle instead! :) Although the Nook simple touch does look much better but whatever. They're not selling it her anyway. =))

I really appreciate your thoughts and I hope you take the time to drop me a line. Thanks! ^_^
