Book Haul [2]

I haven't thought of a name for a weekly meme of book hauls so let's just go with what's posted above.

For now, I'll call this the "Whatever it's called" Book Haul. It's only temporary, I swear. I just haven't thought of a clever name for it. So this is pretty much just like In My Mailbox by the Story Siren and This Week In Books by Pop Culture Junkie and all the other titles with the similar concept here and there. This is a weekly post showcasing the books you received for the given week, either bought online or from a physical bookstore, borrowed from the library or from a friend, received for review or won from a giveaway, etc.

Hello everyone! How are you all doing? I hope you had a good week.

Before we go any further, let me give a shout out to my mom, my grandmother, my relatives who are now moms, friends and colleagues who are also moms, fellow bloggers who are moms as well and to your moms too, and all the moms around the globe: HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!! Nothing can compare to the unconditional love you give to your children and for that you deserve only the best not just for today but everyday!

Okay, here we are again for another post of what books we got for this wonderful week and I am on the state of needing an intervention (I think a lot of us do).

Here's my haul:

THE ASSASSIN AND THE PIRATE LORD by Sarah J. Maas (eBook)
THE ASSASSIN AND THE DESERT by Sarah J. Maas (eBook)
THE ASSASSIN AND THE UNDERWORLD by Sarah J. Maas (eBook)
EXILED by Rashelle Workman (FREE eBook)
I bought all Sarah Maas' short stories at Books on Board which I absolutely love! And I got Exiled at Smashwords.

HALLOWED by Cynthia Hand (Hardcover)
SINGING THE DOGSTAR BLUES by Alison Goodman (Paperback)
TOUCH OF FROST by Jennifer Estep (Paperback)
FEVER by Lauren DeStefano (Hardcover)
I bought Hallowed, Fever and Singing the Dogstar Blues from Fully Booked, Bonifacio Global City branch, while Touch of Frost was bought from the same store but at the Promenade branch.

Well since I got new books, I decided to check on my TBR pile. Thinking of making a list of which books to read first and all that scheduling bit that never really works. I pulled out the books I haven't read yet and I just realized what a bit mistake it was. See below:

RIGHT SIDE PHOTO: Showing the books I have not read yet, including the new books I just got;
UPPER LEFT PHOTO: I wonder which book I'd start reading? They're all so distracting.
LOWER LEFT PHOTO: Oh despair! I can't believe how far I've fallen behind on my reading pile!
Now raise your hands if you feel the same way! LOL. But the book dilemma did not end there. After fixing these back to my shelf, these darn new lovely books arrived the next morning from the Book Depository:

EONA by Alison Goodman
THE MARKED by Inara Scott
CARADOC OF THE NORTH WIND by Frewin Jones
Well, new books, thank you for making matters worse. I need to hug you now. Ha! ha!

Alright, I'm done with my book craze for now, so tell me, WHAT DID YOU GET THIS WEEK? Let me know and I'll be sure to check it out.

  1. I'm exactly the same way as you! :) I always buy more books even though I have a ton that I still need to finish reading. -__-

And I really want to read Fever. I also bought myself Unearthly this week so it's weird to see that you got Hallowed. I hear so many good things about the both of them!

  6. Wow! You got a lot! Exiled has a gorgeous cover. Touch of Frost is an excellent series. I got the latest one a while back as an e-arc from Jennifer Estep and can't wait for the next one. Destiny's Path and The Marked look pretty interesting too.

    1. Hi kim! O my gosh 12?! well, I can't blame you for buying that much.. I usually buy about 3-5 twice a month at the least so I won't be swimming in debt. LOL. I get the same feeling when I wait for the books to arrive.

Ahhh yes, that never ending TBR. who doesn't have that huh? there's just so many books to go around. haha!
