Manila International Book Fair 2014

Hello, fellow bookworms!

It is that time of the year again, and I'm not talking about Christmas (yet).

It's the 35th Manila International Book Fair!

Source: http://www.manilabookfair.com

I was supposed to go on Friday, September 19th but due to typhoon Mario, I had to reschedule. So I went with a good friend of mine, Genieve (check out her site: http://gnivmcelada.wordpress.com/), Saturday, September 20th. Since I knew the weekend would bring about a throng of people to the area, which also means heavy traffic, we decided to go to the MIBF before lunch time.

Quick Update

Hello, lovely book buddies!

Pardon the lack of posts these past weeks, I know I have been neglecting my book blogging duties.
Personal life has gotten in the way of my reading. (the nerve! LOL). It's a few more days until my wedding so yeah.. I won't be blogging anytime soon yet.

I'll be back by next month.. with more reviews, book hauls and all bookish glory. Also, hopefully with the new design for the blog that I've been working on.

(rough draft of new image design for the blog)

Happy reading!

New Year. New Challenges.

Hello!!! Happy New Year, bookworms!

How has your holiday been? I hope you had a wonderful time spending your Christmas and New Year with family and friends.

This 2014, I am vowing to lessen my book purchases (for now) and trim down my book piles, both print and electronic. The reasons are: (1) I have too many unread books and purchasing new ones would only add to the pile; (2) I have literally ran out of shelf space and have yet time to get new shelves, plus I have no room to put any new furniture in my room [oh, the horror!]; (3) My money shall be spent elsewhere, my wedding is in less than 4 months so... [*sigh* the sacrifices I must make. I kid. LOL]

Now, it's time to get the reading piles sorted and listed down.

Here are the challenges I'll be participating in:

2014 Goodreads Reading Challenge

Goal: 75+ Books

Since I'm betting on a very busy first half of this year, I lessened my reading challenge number from 100 to 75 books.
