Monthly Bookish Roundup [September 2015]

Greetings, lovely bookworms!

Behold! I have a new feature on the Blair Book Project! Well, new for me. I've seen other fabulous blogs do roundups at the end of the month, but I never did, until now. So yay!

September has probably been my busiest with books involved this year [so far].

I attended two book fairs. First was the Books and Brews: A Coffee and Book Fair, and the other was the 36th Manila International Book Fair.

Here are my lovely book finds during the event:

A lot of books have been released for the month of September and I had the privilege to be part of the release dates blasts of several ones. Click on the images to view the blog posts.

Book Haul [37]: MIBF 2015 Edition

My "Weekly Book Haul" is pretty much just like In My Mailbox by the Story Siren, This Week In Books by Pop Culture Junkie, and Stacking the Shelves by Tynga's Reviews and all the other titles with the similar concept here and there. This is a weekly post showcasing the books you received for the given week, either bought online or from a physical bookstore, borrowed from the library or from a friend, received for review or won from a giveaway, etc.

Happy Sunday, everybody! How has your week been?

It has been a busy week for me but not too busy to spend at least one day at one of my favorite times of the year. No, it's not Christmas (yet)... It is none other than. . .

[drum rolls sounding]

That's right! The 36th Manila International Book Fair! Woohoo!

Manila International Book Fair 2014

Hello, fellow bookworms!

It is that time of the year again, and I'm not talking about Christmas (yet).

It's the 35th Manila International Book Fair!

I was supposed to go on Friday, September 19th but due to typhoon Mario, I had to reschedule. So I went with a good friend of mine, Genieve (check out her site: http://gnivmcelada.wordpress.com/), Saturday, September 20th. Since I knew the weekend would bring about a throng of people to the area, which also means heavy traffic, we decided to go to the MIBF before lunch time.

Upcoming Mid-2013 Book Events in Manila!

Hello there! It's the 4th of July! So while the US is celebrating Independence Day, here in the Philippines we are celebrating Phil-American Friendship Day! Warm greetings to all! :D

Now, you see that title above? Each year I grow even more obsessed with books, so yeah, I for one love to attend book events. So here are some of the events I will, hopefully, get to attend:

AUGUST

First up this 3rd of August, Kiera Cass will be in Manila. I want my books signed of course. Who doesn't love signed books, right?

You can check NBS FAQs here and Kiera's here.
Follow National Bookstore on: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

In My Mailbox [5]

In My Mailbox [5]
hosted by The Story Siren

No IMM last week, because I saved them for this week... and because I didn't have much to show then.

First, let me show you what happened on September 13-18, 2011:

Hooray!

It was the very first time I attended something like this, simply because I wasn't aware there was such an event here in the Philippines. I guess diving into the reading-addiciton really kept me up to date to anything that related to books.

It's sad that I only got to go there once (on September 14) since I'm packed with things to do for the rest of the week but I'm glad I got to take part on this. I'm definitely going to anticipate next year's book fair and I hope it gets better.

Anyway, here's what I got.

Going Too Far by Jennifer Echols *
Bones of Faerie by Janni Lee Simner
Fury by Elizabeth Miles
Juliet Immortal by Stacey Jay

Also, since I didn't post an IMM last week, I'll just add them here. I got two ebooks which are:

The Lost Files: Six's Legacy by Pittacus Lore *
Dream Dark by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl *

So that's it for me, what did you guys get?

* Books with available reviews here on The Blair Book Project
